Also with previous career experience in the computer and software industry, Peter pays close attention to detail.

Peter and Lynette are very active in their community, as long term and current financial sponsors of the Charteris Bay Golf Club, Diamond Harbour school, Diamond Harbour Volunteer Fire Brigade (which Peter has been a member of for over thirty years) and the Banks Peninsula Conservation Trust’s, Tui Project, to bring the Tui back to Banks Peninsula.

I would like to thank Peter and Lynette Hughan for the wonderful support offered to me for the selling of the family property in Diamond Harbour in December 2024. I had to travel from overseas to do this and both Peter and Lynette were amazing in making the ideal process clear for marketing and selling but to providing local knowledge so I could prepare the house for sale. Effectively, they both went above and beyond in my opinion to providing advice, assisting with a garage sale and then recommending local trades people for tasks around the property. After leaving New Zealand, Peter in fact assisted and supervised a local trades person to prepare for the open homes. The entire process and stress of house sale was taken away from myself. Throughout the open homes Lynette would communicate frequently to advise of suggestions and the interest generated and I was always at ease during this time. I would like to comment therefore on the professionalism and dedication offered by both Peter and Lynette.
